Overview of the Demo Estate estate distribution plan.

  • Manager: Your Manager is the person who initially registers your Easy Divider account. He or she is responsible for managing all aspects of your estate distribution. The Manager cannot be changed. If he or she wants to do so, the Manager can designate an Assistant.
  • Assistant: The Assistant is optional. If the Manager designates an Assistant, he or she will be able to carry out all of the Manager's roles. The Assistant can be changed at any time.
  • Beneficiaries: Beneficiaries are people who are participating in your estate's distribution. These are the people who will be provided with personal ranking pages for your estate's inventory.
  • Designees: Designees are people that have been designated to receive a specific estate item.
  • You must have a Manager. You may or may not have an Assistant.
  • Your Manager may or may not be a Beneficiary and/or Designee.
  • Your Assistant may or may not be a Beneficiary and/or Designee.

  • Estate Name: Your estate name as provided by your Manager/Assistant.
  • Your Plan Type: This shows which Easy Divider plan you have. If you are using the Basic plan, you may upgrade to Premium (purchase required).
  • Maximum No. of Items: This is the maximum number of items that you may have in your overall estate inventory. You may add to this number (purchase required).
  • Start Date: The date that you originally registered your Easy Divider account. It cannot be changed.
  • Inventory Ready: This is the date when the Manager/Assistant determines that the Inventory will be ready and Ranking can begin. It can be changed.
  • Rankings Due: The deadline for all Beneficiaries to finalize and submit their rankings. It can be changed.
  • Results Due: The date when final distribution reports will be sent out. It can be changed.
  • Expiration: The date when your Easy Divider account will expire. You will no longer have access to your estate information after this date. All of your information will be deleted. This date can be changed (purchase required).

You must upgrade to Premium before you can add time or items.
If your Inventory is already locked, advancing the date below will unlock it.
  • Using Categories is optional.
  • Categories may be helpful as you create your Inventory and/or to give your Beneficiaries organizational cues as they Rank items.
  • Categories can be anything you like. For example, you might organize your items using rooms: "Kitchen," "Dining Room," "Garage," etc.. Or you might use item types: "Furniture," "Artwork," "Books," etc..
  • Think of these as a way of helping people better understand the items in your Inventory.

Add categories to organize your items.

  • The use of donation organizations is optional.
  • Listing organizations is a useful way to create lists and keep track of items that you want to donate.
  • You may create a list of donor organizations of any sort here: a school, a church, a social organization, an institution, etc..

Add recipients for donated items.

What happens when you click "Distribute & Notify"?

  • Your estate's Ranking and Inventory areas will be locked.
  • Your estate items will be automatically distributed among your Beneficiaries.
  • Your Beneficiaries will be sent an email telling them that the distribution is complete and that the result can be seen on their Easy Divider website.
  • Your Designees will be sent an email telling them that they have received items from your estate. Each Designee will also receive a list of those items she or he has received.

Verify that your Beneficiaries have submitted their rankings.
